How to Deal With Being Cyberbullying:

  • If you know the person in real life, have as little as possible communication with them
  • The best way to go is to ignore it
  • Block the cyberbully
  • Stand up for yourself and tell the bully to stop!
  • Tell a trusted friend what's happening to you
  • If they sent lots of messages to you, save each one of them
  • If you really can't handle the bullying, report the messages you've saved to the police/Facebook Team, especially if it's life threatening

I apologize for some of this applying only to Facebook! I know that not everybody has Facebook, but recently a friend of mine has been dealing with cyberbullying on Facebook, so that's why I chose to do this. Sorry if this does not apply to everyone!

Statistics on Cyberbullying

Did you know that about 43% of kids are bullied online? The reason why people bully online is because they say it's easier to get away with in the bully's opinion. A ratio of 1:3 people commit suicide because of cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is a lot more serious than you think.

My Story...

I notice that on social media websites (Instagram, Tumblr etc.) I see various comments telling people to kill themselves, that they're ugly, and more. I then go on their ask.fm and even more hate, that the victim starts to self-harm. Why do people do this? For their pleasure? This is called cyberbullying. It should be stopped. Hopefully this blog will change your mind.
